CLA Journey in the DreamHack Dallas 2024

This Sunday marked the conclusion of DreamHack Dallas 2024! This massive event brought together the best esports players across many different esport titles from all around the world. Naturally, it also featured the EA FC 24 tournament, with competitors trying to win something from a whopping 100k USD prize pool, as well as an invitation to the Esports World Cup 2024. Our top eFootball players couldn't miss such an opportunity. Therefore, Fico, JokerTole, and Neerven flew to the USA to take on the challenge.

The event saw 256 participants, divided into 4 qualification groups, who played in double-elimination brackets. The top 16 players advanced to the Playoffs for a chance to compete for the most lucrative prizes.

CLA players began their Group Stage matches on June 1st. Unfortunately, JokerTole didn’t get very far into the bracket and was eliminated in the early stages. Neerven started strong, defeating his opponent 8-0 right from the get-go. However, he lost a close match with a final score of 3-4 and dropped to the Lower Bracket. He didn't give up and managed to pull off two more victories but was stopped in the Quarterfinals by a German player, Kamal, ending his Group Stage journey.

Fico began his matches in the C bracket of Group 3. Like Neerven, he got off to a great start, outplaying his opponent 8-1. Sadly, in the semi-finals, he ran into the future DreamHack Dallas winner, EmreYilmaz, and suffered another loss right after, stopping just one step before the Sunday Playoffs.

The competition was fierce, and we are immensely proud of our players for securing notable wins, despite not winning the event. There is no time for remorse, as the upcoming DreamHack Summer is on the horizon, and our players are training day and night for the rematch there.

Regards

Team CLA
