On August 26-27, EPICENTER hosted one of the largest Slovenian non-profit gaming festivals in Maribor. Along with fan-favorite sports simulators FIFA 23 and NBA 2K23, the event also featured a series of tournaments across many popular titles, including Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, and many more.
FIFA 23 tournament could not go unnoticed by our players, so our regular Croatian division members JokerTole, Banderas, and TUNA13, together with CLA coaches marac90 and FifaFico, took it upon themself to attend.
The competition featured 16 best players from the region, who clashed in a Bo3 single-elimination format for a chance to win a prize pool of over 350 EUR. The matches were played in Overall 95 mode, in which our players practice daily.
Unfortunately, Banderas faced an early elimination when he was matched against JokerTole from the outset. The rest of the players reached the finals, and through their matches, established their respective rankings. CLA coach marac90 took fourth place after losing to TUNA13, who secured the third position.
The championship was clinched in a thrilling face-off between FifaFico and JokerTole. However, FifaFico ultimately prevailed with a close score of 2:1 and rightfully claimed the main prize.
Overall, we are delighted with our players’ performance. It demonstrates their sheer passion for the game and shows the results of constant training. Their dedication and commitment to excellence are truly commendable. Huge shoutout to all the participants, and good luck ahead.
